is it a maudlin time,or a happy time?

The Christmas season has never been a big deal to me, personally, and i'm o.k. with it (most of the time other people aren't o.k. with me being o.k. with it). what Christmas has meant to me over the years is that wherever i have worked, they had to pay me double. i was happy about that.

I have no family so xmas means little to me, I made decent enough money before that I could buy what I wanted when I wanted it. Now I have no job so it doesn't even mean a day off. I still have some of those indulgences from before, so I don't feel deprived now. My health is good. I have a bad ulcer but it probably won't kill me in the next year.
Best thing that could happen is that the Mayans were right. My best years are behind me.

I like christmas it's the only time of the year that religious folk act like civilized people.
Plus 2 weeks of over indulging can be fun even at my age.

Actually, yes...I got stuck playing the role yesterday.
In everyday life, I consider my formerly athletic 6 foot 2, 245 pound frame to make me a fatass.
