When using EAC, where the fuck is the freakin' setting to let me encode at 320 cbr. I can set it to 320, but see no distinction between cbr and vbr, so the thing intuitively does what I don't want.

Thanks GTP.
Funny thing, though, when I copy and paste the string that the guide says will give me CBR 320, this pops up:
Error Message
Invalid Replacement Tag Found!
It's no big deal, I abandoned using the program about 9 minutes after my original post because it just shouldn't be that big of a task to set up.
But I'd still like to know how to set it up because i'm nosy. |

Ah-ha! That explains everything...you have the latest beta version, or whatever it is now. The guide is for the last version. The new version, basically from what I can tell, mostly improves how the tags of the file are made. For example, it would now add the artwork to the tags automatically instead of the old-fashion manual way.
Like a certain penguin does.
That string line is for the last version. I haven't found online yet the new string line, although someone tried to explain it to me elsewhere on how to do it but alas...it got too confusing for me--so I just uninstall the new version & put back the old one. NO difference in quality really.
If your only purpose to use that software is to archive flac copies of your discs and make high quality MP3's for youself, it's an great program to use. I use it all the time.
But fear not: since your a good kid, and I didn't get you anything for Christmas, I'll sent you a PM with info on how to get the last copy.
You may now name your future offsprings after me.
