Hmmm...
I wonder if it's subtitled for a reason similar to why Mad Max (1979) was only available in the US with a redubbed, american-voiced audio track for twenty years?

The reasoning went that MM's american distributor (AIP) was concerned that the wild 'n' woolly Australian accents and colloquialisms would be too off-putting and confusing for American audiences.

(To be fair, I guess MM was released pre-Crocodile Dundee, though. Razz

)

Because English is clearly his second language. When the cameras aren't around they all speak Strylian over there.
