I logged on the other day to upload & got this message:-
Quote:
Oh no! You don't have space available for new files.
You're 3 GB over your 10 GB limit.

I can of course pay for extra storage.

The last time I uploaded I only uploaded about 350Mb so how the hell did I get 3GB over my limit.
I didn't realise that I had a 10GB upload limit either but then I probably didn't read the rules. Very Happy Have they changed their rules?
I wonder if all my files are still accessible.

Oh well time to create another free account I suppose. Razz

A better question is: why are you still dealing with those goofs? I've notice that alot of people have dumped them in favor of other sites. I'm happy to add that Rapidshare--my archenemy next to Mediafire--is fastly becoming persona non grata to the eyes of many. Long overdue in my book.

Nevertheless, more power to you if you can mess with their minds....Laughing

They seem never to delete anything except if given the nudge that they should, there fore I can use them as storage space rather than my hard drive.

Well Why Not? Very Happy

Then again, not to scare you, but I use to do the same thing with Megaupload.

....I don't want to talk about it......

Tell me about it. When I lost my original drive back in April, I've used nearly every software program I could find to break it free from it's digital hell. No luck. It's been so long now that I've just deiced to ditch it altogether. Key work: back-up. Every chance you get.

Boy, it sucks being your computer. Razz Laughing

I would invest on a portable hard drive (most usually start @500 Gigs) or get some USB sticks to store your files. I have about 14 myself--not just to keep stuff, but I like to collect them and try out the different brands. That may help.

Where do you think my corrupt back up is\was?

The stuff on the USB drives was OK though.

well!! Shocked

Untrustworthy buggers aren't they? Laughing

Yeah, nothing's perfect. But in most cases, it's usually someone's back-up partition that gets messed u. My sister's HP computer, both old and new, always gets it's back-up partition corrupted. They are notorious for that.

Glad you managed to save something though. I've tried those various 'data recovery' software with little success. I always dread data loss.
