It's very enjoyable when a cunt with a massively huge, unjustified ego gets a comeuppance.
Bachmann has quit the Presidential Race because of her pathetic performance in the Iowa caucuses.
Read between the lines sweetie: nobody wants you! You're just not as big a deal as you seem to think.
Her quote: "I have decided to step aside..." Good idea, since nobody cared.
On another note, what does this mean in relation to your claim that God wanted you to run? |

There was a lot of background noise when she was talking to him. What he actually said was that he wanted he to "have the runs".
Obama has let a lot of people down and I was sure he would be a one term president until I saw the folks that they were running against him. If McCain had skipped last time and run now, he would kick Obama's ass, Sarah Palin or not.

God only gets one vote too. That or he's not a registered Republican in Iowa.

Totally agree, especially after seeing him speak in favour of Romney the other night. Shame McCain's about a million years old.

The one where he didn't sound like he had rabies and tried to reclaim the party of Abe Lincoln from the crazy motherfuckers like Bachman et al.
Saddest thing about the last election was having to watch McCain pander to those idiots, rather than be true to himself.
(Had I the option I still woulda voted against him, no matter if the Dems had picked Obama or Hilary)

OP, it sounds like you followed the last election closer than a lot of Americans. What's wrong with this picture? |

I have a degree in politics, so it's in my area of expertise/interest.
Also, to my benefit I am not really invested in the result of foreign elections, except indirectly. You could say as the pre-eminent power, any political development in the US has an important impact upon those of us not in America, but when you don't have a dog in the fight, you can look at it more as entertainment.
It's an entertainment I enjoy more than most TV, partially cos it's happening to other people.

Sure I am.
However it isn't as interesting for a few reasons:
1. Our media are shite beyond belief. Forget bias, they are plain incompetent (focused on celebrity, beholden to the politicians, easily distracted, personality obsessed).
2. Our politicians are a pack of amateurs at running the country, great at troughing it, not so great at resolving the problems that our country faces. Government and opposition both. The best thing about the summer in NZ is that our Prime Minister is at his holiday home in Hawaii. This is our PM. He's a cunt.

3. The outcome is too personal - ie, the decisions they make have an impact upon my family

All of the same are true about the US political system. Minus the Summer in Hawaii.

I think you're probably right, Don. It's that sense of perspective I guess.

O'bama does seem to spend a bit of his time in Hawaii...
Maybe those two idiots are trading notes on how to fuck up their respective countries.

Our PM is a former currency trader, he has plenty of ideas how to do that...
