Who am I gonna kick now? Nobody. It's only A1 that I really hate. There are the leechers and one-track uploaders, there are the vile furry deviants, the incoherent almost-beens, somewhere in the mists there's Art Ducko. But so far I've been able to maintain my tolerance. There's just something about A1's tone of voice that rubs me the wrong way.
If I did chase A1 away, it's a bad thing for the forum, and by extension, for me as the administrator of a forum that hopes to remain relevant and attract new members. I may be an asshole, but I'm not stupid, only impulsive (or maybe manic-depressive). In the future, I intend to be more nurturing of all my little leeches and freaks and will make every attempt to introduce problems before the assembled Justice League of America so that we can reach a peaceful, democratic and rational resolution. If the JLA isn't available, I'll throw it to my lazy-ass moderators.
What should not happen, and where I would ultimately overrule the JCA, is where a user is able to leverage his many uploads to ignore the forum protocol. One need only look at world politics to see how this would not be a good thing. Sticking with the premise, the world functions best with only one superpower. However, that one superpower can sometimes be a jerk and shouldn't become so powerful that his NATO allies can't keep him in check.
